Unique experience of walking in the river bed of Brahmaputara

The winter offer immense opportunity to be bit adventurous even at the river side..

You might be surprised to see the strava recorded on the map that was drawn in the water…but it’s true.
In winter when the water level of Brahmaputra comes down…you can walk inside the river bed   closed to a Km region to region. In my case I could able to walk 1.4 km straight from the bank…it offered me an unique experience of walking on the pristine clear white sands..looks like an desert otherwise.

This is unique sensation of the toes, while walking on the dry sands, wet river bed ,and the chilled thin streams of cold water …made the arrival of 2023 very special.

Outdoor activities consumes significant amount of energy, is it really worth spending?

Are you a regular runner, cyclist or a couch potato guy. Did it come to you mind that outdoor enthusiasts spends so much of time with their physical activities, was it worth spending that time in some other productive activities or instead of those.

Here I am going to clarify your doubt with sone of my real life example.

First of all , why do we do movement activities, is it not regarding to maintain a healthy physic and mind by investing some dedicated time out of your busy daily schedules, however what could have been done better to maintain your well being. There might be many alternatives , but being and indulging many excercise outdoor might help you to receive the positive vives from natural ecosystem. And that is worth spending to make yourself fresh every single day.Can we be productive whatever we do in our day to day tasks , without being energetic .

In my experience, I have performed lots of outdoor activities starting from a small walk in the village streets, going for a marathon till completing some international solo cycling tours for past 10 years. What I learnt after completing every single such objective is that, I could not only able to learn tins of life skills those are not taught otherwise, but also helps me to elevate my confidence and we’ll being.

A small walk in the woods not only enables you to breath some fresh air ,but also it steadily maintains your metabolism to an optimal level. After a 20 minutes of continues walk, releasing of Dopamine helps you to be happier.Going for a run not only make you to relese sweat to make you fresh afterwards, it gradually improve your cardio vascular system. A small to multiday cycling tour might give you the accessibility to connect with a local culture or to make some strong bonding with nature. Learning something new always makes your mind younger irrespective of your age as being outdoor you can deeply realise these benifits. And never forget to hydrate after your workouts before 30 min .

The level of energy you elevate throughout the day just by practicing some sort of exercises in the morning, in the same way to maintain your youth even till your elderly age by maintaining a strict regime of physical workouts regularly since your earliest age.Just think about the energy you bring to your entire life just by blocking some dedicated time for some sort of outdoor activities, which you would be amaged to observe by yourself.

There is a chance to feel bit fatigue after outdoor workouts ,which is absolutely normal. But just for that we are not supposed to discontinue our practices. But how do we make sure that we get the benefit of excercise and feel energetic without any fatigue. The answer is invest another 5 to 10 min of static strech exercises to feel post workout heavenly feeling and to avoid fatigue for rest of the day.

During this corona pendamic for a year, situation forced us to be inside home. but what I relised that without going outside for a small walk or even an hour cycling and avoiding completely the touch with the outdoor, made me more lathersic and less creative.

So, let’s hope this corona pendamic gets over very soon and we can start with our outdoor games to benifit form it.So keep safe and healthy.

When we tour to a modern location, we tend to get inspiration how to live a place in such a better lifestyle society and work towards to achieve that goal. Either way it helps to see the world.

When I was touring to some remote location in North Eastern parts of India, I realized how difficult that life style was comparatively without proper electricity and mobile connectivity .But when I was touring developed country life Singapore, I was amazed to see the modern lifestyle , ultramodern architecture, which inspire me to try and live in those society. t happens only due to my bicycle touring .

How a tour help us to reflect inner self

Instead of just visiting touristy place, why don’t we take out travel time as self reflect and observe the surrounding as an experiential activities.

In a long cycling tour, it’s obvious to feel lineless sometime, but that is the time where your inner feelings comes out of your hear to your mind. Give it a pause and think about those thoughts on your idle time.As those are the true calling of yourself.

In many of my cycling tour, where I have to take some lonely road in countryside, or any highway under the hot sun. Emotionally its very draining , but those are the moments , still I can remember. And do you know why, in some of those moments I used to find some thoughts popping in my mind , that would not have come otherwise , if I were in a normal place surrounded by the day to day known people. So, there is defiantly some thing , that travel makes us let us know, who truly you are through inner voice. So Start touring. Let this blog inspire and throw some light on your mind to think how a tour can change your mentality .

My career: I started my career as an Software engineer ,and for my work location I had to move out of my native town.I used to travel by train initially which had to go through an epic train journey of more than 3500kms sitting continuously inside a train boggy for not less than 4 continuous days. That was my first travel experience. The the hidden bug as a traveler , was just igniting at that moments. I continued to start my long travel through train in different routes , where I was excited to see that change in geography, the landscapes, the tress, the houses, the paddy fields and not to forget the difference in peoples behavior. This was the time , I got to know why travel makes us so rich on experiences and our happiness.

Why I decided to travel through different routes for the same destination:

The people life style changes as the geography changes. And I got lots of value to my own life about he significance of different life style by observing them in different states through India. I started consciously travel to different locations to learn some thing new, to change my level of my mind. A hill location has a quite natural surrounding and a tougher life style than in plane . A modern city has something different to offer like the busy pace of the people..etc. On every experiences gave some value back to my own life and hence towards a enriched and broader mindset. Once I started making conversations with my colleagues and friends, they started being curious how do I observe the surrounds in a new place and how it has been changing my states of my mind. Many were asking me to how to make for such an experiential tour, that can lead an enriching experiences .

The excitement of fishing in a village in Assam.

Most of us eat fish , but hardly few of us have the privilege to experience the fun filled and exciting activity of fishing.

To experience such an exciting activity I went to village in Assam.

Fish is one of the favorite food for the Assamese people . It is not only a usual dish in Assam, but also it’s quite commonly used in their religious feast.

Due to the availability of ponds, lots of small and big rivers across Assam, fish is easily found in those water lands . The fishing activity is as interesting as much as the taste of the fish.

Starting from the small small fish around the size of the little finger, we can see bigger fish as well in the same river or pond.

Among different fishing instruments are “Khaloi”,”Jakoi”,”posa”,”polo”,”tongi jaal” are commonly used.

“Jakoi” and “khaloi” are mostly used by woman.

But the most exciting and thrilling one is “posa”.Mostly it’s used to catch fish by aiming with their long thorns .

Even though the amount of fish are decreasing year by year in the rivers, still after the monsoon when the water levels comes down, the fishing activity is started. More than the taste of the fishes, these fishing activity is much more interesting and exciting.

Starting from kids to the adults, everybody try to enjoy that activity, no matter somebody could able to catch a fish or not. The enjoyment of making your hand dirty with the mud around the other village friends is fun filled.

Some body will put the “tongi jaal” in the water and wait for some time to come the fish over their net. On the other hand , the guy with “posa” will wait focusing constantly on a particular place with the observation of a bigger fish inside water. It’s quite chellanging.

Women usually use the “jakoi” to pull from the bottom of water to get any fish.

The more people join the activity, more exciting it becomes.

After long time once they catch enough fish, they celebrates by sharing with each other. The taste is not on the fish but on the fishing activity and getting your body dirty with mud among all the villagers.

Singapore to Malayasia trip day1

Departing from Singapore :

Monsoon is going on, and it has been raining for weeks.Year-end vacation also started.

While a limited number of days in hand as per my planned leave from my employer, the most annoying situation was the cloudy weather during those days.

Many times, it made me realize that life is a choice of decision-making. The option you choose for the next moment is going to determine the overall value of your life. For instance, in my case, it was to figure out whether to cancel the biking trip due to the weather or to plan for another non-biking tour in a different neighbouring country. Although lack of time time to do research about my next step, a few of the analyses helped me to proceed with the bicycling trip.

I tried to brainstorm the alternative destinations based on few of my old real-time experiences such as my ability to complete a tour in specific weather and geographical condition and a few of the public opinion about cycle touring in different regions.

Booking a flight and flying to a destination is less challenging as compared to embarking on a bicycling trip as the later demand precise planning to cope with different uncertainties that you might encounter on the road in an unknown territory. However, I opted for the later option even though with the depressing cloudy days.

Finally my leave days started in the mid of December and I just packed my bicycle last night and decided to move out in the next morning.

The clouds were continuously surveilling and I slowly started my journey under the sprinkled water from my room from Singapore.

The service road leads to the express way and adrenaline started boosting with the super fine road and hence the speed accelerated gradually.
Without my awareness I was riding with the other high speed vehicles.Soon the Auxiliary police chased me which I mistakenly thought them as an ordinary recovery van. They asked me to stop and make me understand that I was in a wrong way making a security thread to other vehicle. They took my bike with me and politely warned me not to enter in express Highway any more and left me nearest service road. Wished me a good luck after knowing my expenditure.

On service road my speed went down and the rain with the frequent light droplets made me uncomfortable with the raincoat.

Slowly I reached Woodland, in the North Region of Singapore, which connects neighbouring country Malaysia by a bridge. The emotionally draining part was that I was unnecessary wasting my time figuring out for the immigration check for bicycle . I was roaming around that place finding the immigration office following all sign boards , but unfortunately no where it was mentioned the dedicated road for two wheeler apart from the fast moving cars and lorries and in my case that was my bicycle .Without any doubt ,it made me quite panic and disappointed. This was my very first day of the tour and the challenge I have to face at the beginning itself just to locating the proper road to departing the country.

After taking help from a local police who showed me the way, that I should follow the same way with other vehicle way on that very road leading to Singapore immigration.

Without any queue and any problem, it got finished  my check within five minutes and I was going though the bridge connecting Singapore and Malaysia in Woodland.

One I reached the Malaysian Immigration centre, there was a different challenge I was was going though in my mind as few of my friends were alerting me that , without an accommodation proof that I may need to show to the immigration officer, it might be difficult to get the approval to enter the other territory, as according to my plan I was hoping to stay all the nights in my own tent. However, without any hassle I could able to clear from Malaysia check point.

Entered Malaysia:

Welcome to Johor, the southern state in Malaysia .By entering an another territory by bicycle  through road felt like an unique experience for the first time in my cycle touring life.

Few tall buildings caught my eyes and most importantly, in the rainy day,the cloud was touching the top of few of the buildings. I was getting confused with the flyovers built at the entrance once I entered Malaysia from Woodland and misdirected to an another road for few kilometres .

By the time I was passing through the Johor town, it was around 1.30pm , spending half of the day entering the new country. And indeed I was desperately finding for some food. Looking at a restaurant thought of filling something in the stomach. As usual I had dal and rice with the price of 2.5 Ringet.
On the table of cashier , looking at my face the shopkeeper asked if I’m from India. He was actually from West Bengal of India and he was happy to speak in Bengali, a regional language in India which is almost similar to my mother tongue .On leaving he offered me a warm water and filled my half filled bottle. This instance of connecting the Indian guy far from our country , made me a realisation that the how small the world is and not quite difficult to meet your native peoples outside of your own territory.

Slowly I was leaving Johor Bahru and the road was following through many flyovers. After riding more than 10 kilometres , the road started going around the greenery with very little elevated rolling road. The cloud were floating above the small hills not higher than 100 to 200 meters .

There was enough direction of the road towards main destination like Mersing, KL etc. I was following 3 no highway . Initially I was following till Kota Tinggi which was around 30km from my current location in Johor Bahru.

The rain was making my journey comfortable one way , sprinkling water throughout the road and I was immensely benefited from dehydration. But the raincoat was not so suitable for those continuous rain, and which was making my inside wet that was bit uncomfortable and cold .

The clouds on my way at the hill tops were catching my eyes and I was thinking even at low altitude near sea, you can feel the cloud moving at low altitudes.

Being a forest rich location, I noticed there few wood mill long the highway. Born and brought up around the tea estates in my home town in Assam, India ; it was surprising for me to notice few tea gardens in few small hills in Malaysia . ‌Whole Malaysia is dominated my palm estates.I was the first glimpse of those palm plantations in those small hills of sliding surface on my way.Few queries also got my attention .

The highway was with usual traffic .There were many vehicles with wide tyres like SUVs . I saw even few were carrying a boats at their tops , which made me a feeling that this road is a commonly used road for the adventure enthusiast.

On the way from Kotta Tinggi towards Merging, one customer in a restaurant told me that he met a cyclist from Germany heading towards East .This was a great confidence booster for me to know that’s this location is usual for bicycle travellers.

Hungy me :

As I was passing by,my stomach started getting empty and soon I started feeing hungry .Even at 4.30 pm , I was finding difficulty to find a restaurant ,might be due to rainy weather and Sunday. With uncontrollable hunger I bought whatever I was finding on the way. A bunch of banana with 6 Ringgit was not enough for me to dominate my hunger in that afternoon. However, luckily I found in a small road near a Palm oil factory, a lady was selling BBQ chicken . Without much thinking I bought a small tondury chicken for 6 Ringgit. Atleast one headache was cleared my my head that no more I need to think for food for that night. Now it was the time to find a place to put my tent in that rainy evening . I was looking for rice and it made me disappoint that all the restaurent were closed by that time.

My first interaction with a Malaysian :

After going ahead few distance I saw a restaurant just about to close for the day and somebody coming outside looked like the owner. I immediately asked if had some food even though it was closed.Unfortunately it was over . I also asked that I was finding a place nearby to pitch my tent for the night. And with my surprise ,he made me happy with his eagerness to help a stranger like me that I can tent in his restaurant itself. It was a huge relief for me. This was the first instance for me to have a friendly conversation with a Malaysia dweller. This first meet was equally exciting for me as it had provided me the necessary confidence that the localities were welcoming . Without any surprise , with my touring costumes , he was genuinely interested to know more about my cycling tours and my epic forthcoming journey around Malaysia.

This was how we spent time together with our broken English . He offered me a hot coffee in that chilled cloudy evening .One thing I observed about human body after experiencing in many cycling trips is that, even a cup of tea with little sugar might act like an energy booster for that moment. I could feel the same sensation in my veins flowing though my arms and legs specially after hot coffee offered by my host .That friend Muslim by his religion was kind enough to arrange an space for me to sleep at his home temple itself (Muslim prayer room). I was so greatful to have that luxury in an unknown place.

Spending free time with host:

As I was having few daylight time , I made a cartoon sketch as a gratitude to occupy that free time while discussing about each others life as a whole.Even he offered me a meal with an omlet and rice. For the time being I just thought how clean and happy their heart was. The shop owner with the smiling face even have some conversation about his won country, Malaysia  and how different religious people are peacefully sharing that common nation.

After our few short conversations in the evening after our dinner we separated for the night and I prepared pitching my for the first night in that new territory .In my observation ,the night was clear with no rain and the clouds from the nearby hills also moved away after the whole day of pouring water. The noise of the frogs was again making an alert of further rain.

After riding nearly a hundred kilometres in that day, body naturally demanded to lie in the tend and very soon I fall asleep.

Link for my Strava link:

Total expenditure of the day:
Resins:10 Ringgit
Dal rice: 2.5 Ringgit
Banana: 6 Ringgit
Tandoori chicken: 6 Ringgit
Total day 1: 24.5 Ringgit

Malayasia Day 2

Unpredictable weather was adding another challenge for me apart from the rain , the was flooded road.

After having a stomach full of nasi lemak( rice ) with omlet I started towards Marsing from the place I spent last night .Palm plantations around the rolling roads under the clear sky with morning sun made me excited after those days of continuous rain .Lots of timber factories roadside was probably indicating the presence of forest in that region .Although the trafficless countryside highway was pleasant to ride in that morning, yet the excitement did not hold for too long. But what’s happening there. The lorries along with few other vehicles were parked both the ways of the road for more than half kilometres indicating like a car crash.

However, once I proceeded ahead of the road, it broke my curiosity .The road towards Marsing was blocked with flood .Rescue team along with the local police were re directing the traffic to avoid that road.I even met a group of other road cyclist on that road. But disappointment was obvious in everybody’s face. For me it was not just finding an alternate route in Google map on my phone , but also to keep a track of additional time I had to spend for that reason , as my overall tour plan was within tight timeline.Even a single day delay could potentially affect the whole plan . And surprisingly I had to spend double the time and effort to reach the same destination, Marsing through a longer road to avoid the flooded roads.

Even though the other road was much safer from submerging under rain water, but the landscape from the road was scary . Many houses were half submerged in flood. After clicked many pics I also decided to leave and planned to go back to Kotta Tinggi, then to target my next destination either to Marsing again or to Malacca, which was not according to my original plan .

Next intermediate town Kluang:

Following the highway no 91 , I decided to ride towards Kluang. This is an inner highway with less traffic. All the roads along the small hills were again surrounded by palm trees and few palm factories . Residential areas also seemed to be very less ,hardly I could see any village apart form the small towns. The road lead to Kluang, a beautiful town around in a hill , just before it was dusk .Kluang was quite populated town having many religious people including Malay and Chinese. But the place I will remember in that afternoon because of its stunning view of its sunset. The scenery was so bright,I couldn’t stop clicking a pic.

There were quite many food stalls including seafood restaurants similar to open hawker centers in Singapore. Looking like a busy central place after riding though the countrysides, the town have all kind of shops for your need including many petrol station .I even noticed few bicycle shops in the town. After making a small ride in few roads in the town I followed the way towards Marsing before dusk, hoping to cover few more kilometres before calling off the day .

I thought on the way that I will find a restaurant nearby where I will put my tent. But the darkness came and without my notice the food stalls outs-card of the town started closing. Luckily I was surviving with a bread that I bought in the town. Under the complete darkness and I was struggling to find a suitable food stalls on that very evening.

The test of determination and hunger :

The road was challenging because of its curves in that rolling terrain and the only thing I could feel about is some soft of mild forest both the side of the road. The scariest and worry was , there were not a single place for halt , not even a bus stop I have observed in that road, which was very necessary for me at that evening , as it started raining heavily .The rain and loneliness in the midst of the hills getting me scared ,and the penic part was that there were not a single place to get rid of the rain. Such a quiet place . This few hours of endurance in that complete darkness under heavy rain with extreme hunger was one of many instances that I would remember from this trip. After this gruelling 25 kilometres or night ride, I finally came across few houses looking at their lights from distance ,which was a small town like area that I reached around 10.30 pm.

What I learnt:

  • Always keep few buffer days in your tour.
  • Be flexible enough research to change your plan dynamically
  • Research properly of the roads you take on the planning itself like road condition, hospitals, weather conditions etc.

Alibagh trip Day 4

D4:

Difficulty level:Easy

Distance: 100km

Local attractions:

  • Nira Deoghar Dam with sun rise
  • Bhatghar dam
  • Countryside hill road

It almost the easy day for me .Most of the route were downhill. The excitement to view the sun rise on the dam was keeping me alert to wake up on time early morning around 6:30 even though last night was able to sleep for few hours. Made a morning walk around the area to feel the beauty around the green hills with that chilled morning air with sun just about to rise .Sun coming up behind the hill, and reflecting on the water along with the fog around the hills was just breathtaking. It was making me confused for the direction of the clicks as every corner had their own scenery.

With the rising sun after disassembling my tents that was becoming a boring habit for those days, I left the place with a gratitude to the hotel guys and it started with a downhill.

Road was mostly downhill and rolling with the  beautiful green hills both the ways and Nira-Devagor dam  was just following on the way.

Hills were also changing its beauty with the rocks and  with different colored  grasses .The small  villages were seen below the hills near the dam water.

It’s time to enjoy the downhill .Road was also becoming good. Mild chilled air blowing besides my head making my sole peace.

After around crossing 25 km  I reached Bhor, a small town. Gradually getting some extra energy as it was approaching towards Pune.

From Bhor you need to take a left towards Pune with the rolling road crossing few smaller ghats to reach the highway. On your left you can see the Bhatnagar the way for a Km. Sugarcane farming were there along the road near the dam apart from rice fields.

Just after the dam you can have a beautiful look of the necklace point of the river. This road goes through Kapurhol till the 48th no Bangalore-Pune-Mumbai highway .After few hour of riding on the highway with a decent speed I successfully complete my ride till Pune.

Sense of accomplishment of  a long solo ride through the coastal line through the ghats, will always be in my mind.

Alibagh trip Day 3

D3: One of the most tiresome day of my entire trip

Difficulty level: high (endurance,Climbs)

Local attractions:

  • Passing through the dense forest
  • Varandha ghat view point with sunset

Even though I was not having sufficient sleep of last night, I woke up around 6:30, quickly disassembled my tent to go for a sunrise photograph in the beach. Even though Sun rise was not directly reflecting on the beach , but from the backyards of the hill it was looking so beautiful , making a picturesque reflection on the broad beach.

I have observed people from other locations already reached the beach early morning around 4.30 to enjoy its morning view. I also made a ride through the beach from one to the other end on the white sand. People started riding with the motor boats on the low tide  waves.

It was so nice to observe the different art formed by the incoming and outgoing sea tides on the white sands .Beach is so clean that we can clearly observer the creation on the sand .After spending couple of minutes  I planned to leave Diveagar and headed towards Mhasala , as I may need to take deviation from there  either to Pune or Mahabaleshwar based on the road condition. I have a strict duration for this trip of 4 days , so I had to cut down few of the places from my initial pre-plan list.

The road towards Mhasala was almost good apart from few distance at the starting. The ride of around 20km goes through the rolling road around the small ghats till I reach Mhasala with around 1.5 hours. It was sweating a bit as I was feeling humid in that region.

Had my breakfast at Mhasala as there was no such food stall in that patch of the road. Met few bikers coming from Pune towards the beach via Thamini ghat. They told me about the bad condition of the road and asked me to prepare mentally for the climbs in the ghat sections. We left each other after wishing a safe and enjoyable ride.

I started my ride around 9.30 from Mhsala point taking guide about the next part of the road from the shopkeeper in the hotel that I had breakfast.

After leaving the small town of Mhasala around 3 km, I headed towards Goregaon which was around 30 km with full of ghat section and the forests. Initially I have to climb few km then the road was rolling and downhill. It was one of the best part of the ride with the dense forest surrounding and the ghat with hardly any vehicles. The fragrance of the flowers were energizing my mind the soal. So pleasant and lonely  it was although it was a ghat to be crossed. After around 2.30 hr, I reached Goreagoan and then Lonere at 12.30 pm. There were only few food stalls if you want to have anything apart from the small towns in Mhasala and the intermediate villages. So better to keep water and food for that section. Around the road the paddy field were covered with rice grains and you can see the farmers storing rice grains from the farm in few villages. Quite silent road it was.

Still I have to decide where to go further as wherever I go, I need to cross ghat at least 20 KM.As it was 12pm already, I decided not to go through Bahabaleshwar as I have to climb of around 45KM. And planned to go through Varandh ghat via Bhor to Pune.

Taken the Panvel- Kochi- Kanyakumari highway road from Lonere towards Mahad of around 20 km .On few places of the road just before reaching Mahad  you can see Savitri river on you right along the road.

By mistake I entered in Mahad town taken a deviation from the highway crossing a small river called   Gandhari. I could see lots of masjid in Mahdi passed through and a small pond called Chavdar Tale with a statue of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar caught attraction of my eye.Through the city of around 3 km I again reached the highway and had my lunch in a small hotel  besides the highway around 2 pm.

Continued my ride without any further break with an easy pace to save my time instead taking  .After reaching Savitri river twin bridge  I had to take a left deviation from the main highway through 70 no state highway. On the way you can see river Kal on your left. It was around 20km ride till you reach the main ghat sections. Once approaching towards the ghats and looking into it, mind started tickling about the effort needed  to be put while climbing. It was a fully sunny day and the heat was draining my energy though it was pleasant ride through the villages and the rice paddy field around the road.

Soon after climbing few kms in the ghat I stared feeling thirstier. I had only a 700 ml water bottle and only 1/4th  was left. A car driver offered me water bottle on the way while asking for some water. I had to stop in some hairpins due to continuous climbs and its sudden elevation.

Heart beat was raising gradually with increasing heat in my body.I stopped seeing a small stream and decided to take few min rest .Taken a small shower in that cold water make my body to calm and filled both the bottle with stream water coming through the rocks. Even after that also I was able to climb only a few distance. Gear started decreasing till 1:1 from 2:1.

There was a small school besides the road itself few meters ahead, thought of taking  rest of  half an hour as body was not comfortable to ride further. I tried to slept for few min in a shed under a tree and the time was 4:30. The giant hills were looking gigantic from the road as I was gradually climbing up. Got few clicks of those hills from the hill top. But after few distance, inclination started decreasing and I also started feeling relaxed with the sun set. The other side of the ghat was quite pleasant temperature as sun was opposite side of the hills. Got the water bottle filled from a food stall.  It was becoming dusk and I planned to stay in the ghat only as it might be unfavorable to  ride in the ghats as the road was not good in the downhill.

After few km Varandha Ghat valley view I met an villager asking him for a guide about the road.He happily suggested me to stay in nearby hotel roadside near Nira-Deoghar dam as it was just few km distance away from me.

Downhill was quite uncomfortable with the potholes in the road and I decided to take a stop looking at a hotel. And requested him if I can pitch my tent nearby his hotel. He also suggested me to not to ride further at night due to bad condition of the road .

They even prepared the food that I might like knowing about my trip story and we talked about my experiences  .It made me so happy that people are still ready to help whenever you are in need. Captured some clicks with the hotel guys as a memory and I put my tent near their hotel. They even offered me to take rest along with them as  it would be cold at night .But I preferred to use my tent to get the experience under the blue sky. Those hotels runs throughout the night and day. The vehicles were getting parked just near my tent .Might be I was occupying the parking area.

At night was it was quite chilled and my tent was  covered with the mist at night as the dam was just below the area.
